Melissa Peterman - food experience

Melissa Peterman is a graduate of Seattle Central Culinary Academy and The Quillisascut School of Domestic Arts where student chefs learn to garden, make cheese, forage and butcher animals while learning about the farm to table experience.
Her culinary career was shaped by professional experiences at places like Macrina, Century Ballroom, The Ruins, Sue McCowen's Coco La Ti Da and Tom Douglas Catering. In addition, Melissa had the opportunity to travel abroad and learn about a variety of regional cuisines. She spent a year in Florence, Italy studying local dishes, and later spent time in Chang Mai, Thailand taking Thai cooking classes.
As the owner of Melissa Peterman Catering, she specializes in small sit-down dinners as well as wine and food pairing experiences. In addition, Melissa has volunteered her time with charity and benefit dinners and also acts as a returning guest chef at the Issaquah Highlands Cooking Club, where she enjoys teaching others about the new techniques and flavors of Modern American Cuisine.
Marcus Pape - wine experience

Marcus Pape has worked in the media and design industry for over 10 years with an extensive background in all forms of visual communication, brand development, and interactive marketing. Currently he utilizes all of his experience working as Creative Director for a local marketing and promotions company.
While working as a creative professional Marcus has always held a special interest in wine. But it wasn’t until after moving to Seattle that he began blending the two together when he co-founded Wine Connection of Washington – WineCOW.com. The goal was to inspire interest in wine for a younger market while promoting the rapidly growing Washington wine industry.
Never being one to relax and enjoy his free time, Marcus recently launched WineCHATr.com – a new wine project where he is utilizing the communication power of social networking to create the first true online wine community.
