100% bonarda from high trellised vineyard of about 30+ years of age, this wine explores the potential of Bonarda from East Mendoza, an area often relegated to second line. We believe East Mendoza conditions being ideal for a grape such as Bonarda, with very late maturity and notable vigour. Vinified in 300hl stainless steel tank with temperature control at 28-30 Celsius, 10 days time from crushing to pressing, with daily rack and return for a gentle extraction. The wine goes through the malolactic process and receives no oak treatment in order to preserve freshness of the fruit and to represent a pure expression of the grape. Unoaked style is one of the keys for Colonia Las Liebres concept, as the wine wants to be the expression of a grape and a place. This wine is meant to be as intense as to entertain you everyday, and as pure as not to overwhelm your senses.
